This free camping area provides a serene escape with its stunning views of the lake and the majestic Cradle Mountain in the background. The camping spot is accessible via a short, unsealed road off the Murchison Highway, just before the bridge. With several unshaded open paddocks perfect for tents, campervans, and motorhomes, it's a popular spot among nature enthusiasts.

One of the major attractions of camping at Lake Rosebery Foreshore is the exceptional trout fishing opportunities in the lake's pristine waters. The peaceful surroundings create an ideal spot for fishing, kayaking, or simply relaxing by the water. While there are no formal facilities at the camping area, rubbish bins are provided. Campers must be fully self-sufficient, bringing their own drinking water, firewood, and waste disposal solutions.

The location's proximity to Cradle Mountain offers easy access to some of Tasmania's most renowned hiking trails. Whether you want to explore the iconic Overland Track or embark on shorter walks, this area is a hiker's paradise. The weather can be unpredictable, with high winds and heavy rainfall being common, so come prepared with appropriate gear.
