Papa Gino's

Initially the Jewish ghetto, Lygon Street is now world famous for its café culture and exquisite affordable dining all thanks to the Italian movement. Amongst the kings of the street, no other quite matches Pap Gino’s in its own and unique way. This culinary landmark is not just a restaurant, it is an Italian love story of serving hearty Italian for over 50 years.

The story starts with Gino and Silvana Brosca, who met working in a northern Italian bar. Their passion for hospitality led them to open their own venture on Lygon Street, first as "Naples Bay," before settling on the iconic "Papa Gino's." Now, the second generation of Broscas run the show, keeping the family recipes and warm atmosphere alive.

Much more than the simple Italian famous pizzas, dive into steaming hot gnocchi, perfectly cooked and bathed in a rich tomato sauce. The lasagne is a local favourite, layered with flavourful meat sauce, creamy béchamel, and melt-in-your-mouth pasta sheets. For a lighter option, their chicken saltimbocca – a dish featuring chicken breast topped with prosciutto and sage – is a delightful choice.
