Cactus Garden

Carnarvon's #instaFamous Cactus Garden is a hidden gem. The best part? Entry is by a gold coin donation, making it a budget-friendly adventure. Believe it or not, this spiny paradise started as a one-man hobby just 15 years ago! Now, over 350 cacti stand tall, some reaching an impressive 5 meters. As you step into the garden, prepare to be transported to a world of wonder. Rows upon rows of cacti greet you, showcasing a diverse collection from all corners of the globe.

The Carnarvon Cactus Garden isn't just a celebration of cacti. Look out for other fascinating desert dwellers like succulents and native Australian flora, arranged along easy-to-navigate paths. Informative signage helps you appreciate the unique adaptations that allow these plants to thrive in the harsh outback environment. So come get mesmerized by the unusual shapes and textures of cacti, and marvel at the resilience of these desert wonders. If you are lucky enough to be coming through on a Saturday between May and October, make sure to say hello at the growers' market.
