The lack of shade makes hiding from the sun difficult, so loose long sleeves and hiking pants are helpful. Respect the environment by staying on designated trails and leaving no trace behind. Consider a guided tour; local operators offer tours that delve deeper into the geology and ecology of the canyons. Check road conditions at the Milyering Discovery Center, where the staff are excited to offer their knowledge and ensure a safe exploration. While a 2-wheel-drive car can reach most places, a 4-wheel-drive is more preferable.
Please note: Some visitors have reported that signage could be improved to better guide 2WD vehicles and indicate parking. The final turnoff might be suitable only for 4WD vehicles due to a rough track. Consider parking near the picnic area and walking the short distance to the lookout instead approximately 10 minutes.
