Fitzroy Crossing Art Centre

Fitzroy Crossing is more than breath-taking landscapes, it is also a vibrant cultural scene. One of the best places to witness this is at The Fitzroy Crossing Art Centre. Aboriginal art will take you through a journey of space and time with ich stories woven into every piece.

The Fitzroy Crossing Art Centre is a platform for local Aboriginal artists, the Bunuba people, to make their voice heard through contemporary art. Paintings, sculptures, textiles ā€“ each creation narrates a story, depicting the unique connection between the Bunuba people and the Kimberley land. Bold colors, intricate dot work, and symbolic imagery come alive on canvases, reflecting the Bunuba people's deep respect for the land, its flora and fauna, and the Dreamtime stories passed down for generations.

The Art Centre role in supporting local livelihoods can be seen through your unique opportunity to take a piece of the Kimberley home with you. Explore the on-site shop, featuring a curated selection of Aboriginal art, including paintings, sculptures, and handcrafts. Owning a piece by a local artist not only supports the artistic community but also serves as a lasting reminder of your Kimberley adventure.
