Kununurra Lookouts

Beyond outback adventures to breathtaking views. Kelly's Knob, Mirima, and the Pumphouse are among the best views around Kunanurra. Grab your camera, lace up your walking shoes (if needed), and get ready to be amazed!

Kelly's Knob: A 2WD accessible 360-Degree Masterpiece named after the legendary pastoralist Patrick "Paddy" Kelly. This is a must-do for any visitor to Kununurra. Take a leisurely drive or a short hike for a sunset summit and be rewarded.

Mirima National Park: 2WD accessible, but 4WD preferred, offers the gateway to 2 lookouts along the outback 2.2 kilometre Gerilwany-gerring Banan Trail. This often over looked place opens up views of the snaking Ord River weaving through the ancient Devonian Reef, a geological marvel millions of years in the making. If driving 2WD, check conditions before going, 4WD should be fine. While you are here, why not explore other trails like Yoorrming Geranyen Trail.

The Pumphouse: Your place for a sunset drink on the banks of Lake Kununurra, easily accessible by 2WD. The pumphouse history dates back to playing a pivotal role in the development of the region's irrigation system. Today, it's a charming restaurant with an outdoor deck.
