For over 50 years, a unique tradition has unfolded at the Kalbarri Foreshore every morning at 8:45 am. Here, these magnificent birds gather for a special feeding session, accompanied by an informative talk.

This heartwarming tradition began decades ago when a local fisherman started sharing his fish scraps with the pelicans. Today, it continues to be a highlight for visitors, offering a chance to witness these incredible creatures up close.

While the event is free, a gold coin donation is gratefully accepted to help ensure this tradition continues to delight visitors for years to come. So come join the morning ritual, learn about these fascinating birds, and witness the pelicans take flight with a full belly!
