Sprawling along the coastline, the capital city of Western Australia makes an ideal destination for all types of beach goers. Learn to surf, hang 10, snorkel, fish, or just be a beach bum. For all those joining us down under in Perth, a picture-perfect beach day is an ideal sunshine filled jet lag recovery day.

Scarborough Beach, north of the city center and easily accessible by public transport gives ideal conditions for surfing beginners with lessons available starting with sunrise 7:15AM. Already a pro? Soul Board Store in Trigg is the spot to rent and buy high quality equipment with Trigg Beach, Perth’s most renowned surf spot right there. Prices are: $20 1 hour, $30 2 hour, $40 whole day, and $150 for the week.

If you are wanting to take it easy with a refreshing, protected swim, and a stroll, North Beach offers many points nearby where steps descend to little coves for your own bit of quiet. While here, check into Froth brewery for a beverage or around the corner for affordable fish and chips lunch.

Whatever you want to do and go, it is pretty hard to go wrong. However, missing the coastline at sunset is one sure way to not tick all the boxes with awe-inspiring tints of red, yellow, and orange as the sun falls behind the horizon of the Indian Ocean.
