🚨WARNING🚨
Camping should only be practiced where permitted. Frequent reasons to why camping is not permitted includes but is not limited to the sensitive nature of heritage land. As such, illegal camping can pose significant risk to local natural flora and fauna. Including but not limited to trampling sensitive vegetation, soil erosion, littering, contaminating water sources and displacing vulnerable wildlife.
Australia prioritises catching illegal camping with penalties. During peak season, camps bookings can fill up to 1 year in advance, there is no guarantee that there will be availability at free camps where bookings are not required.
If you become aware of any changes to the camps, please advise by contacting:
You are encouraged to post additional free camps that you become aware of.
