Day Trip To Cerventes

average rating is 4.5 out of 5, based on 150 votes, People love it

A quick 20-minute drive will have you strolling down a sun-drenched street named "Cadiz," with the smell of freshly grilled seafood wafting through the air. Welcome to Cervantes, a charming village nestled among Western Australia's Coral Coast, where Spain mingles with the beauty of the Australian landscape.

This Spanish influence originated in 1844 when the American whaling ship 'Cervantes' was wrecked off the coast. Years later, in 1962, the government established one of Western Australia's newest towns. Walking around Cervantes, you will meet streets named 'Madrid,' 'Barcelona,' and 'Seville,' where local businesses shine with Spanish themes to bring a delightful fusion of cultures.

Second only to The Pinnacles, The Lobster Shack is a major tourist icon and a must-visit for seafood lovers. So, while you are in Western Australia, you may as well enjoy a lobster that many people rely on for their livelihood. Taste seafood that comes straight from the ocean and is plated on dining tables. Go on the unique lobster catch tour where you learn all about sizes, gradings, and even have the opportunity to hold a live one (with protective equipment). Additionally, don’t miss out on their sea lion tour, where you can get up close and personal with these playful marine mammals. The Lobster Shack is open Monday to Saturday 9 AM – 5 PM with limited hours on Saturday.
